NOTICE OF ADOPTION
OF A RESOLUTION PROPOSING INCLUSION OF REAL PROPERTY AND OF A SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER INCLUSION OF REAL PROPERTY
WITHIN THE LAKE DILLON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 21, 2020, the Board of Directors ("Board") of the Lake Dillon Fire Protection District ("Lake Dillon Fire") adopted a Resolution Proposing Inclusion of Real Property within Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District Upon the Affirmative Majority Vote of the Eligible Electors Within the Area To Be Included ("Resolution Proposing Inclusion"). The purpose of the proposed inclusion, which has been consented to by the Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District ("Copper Mountain Metro"), is to enhance the provision of sustainable, high quality, and cost effective fire and emergency services within the areas currently served by both Lake Dillon Fire and Copper Mountain Metro by including all real property currently within Copper Mountain Metro's jurisdiction ("Copper Mountain Properties") into Lake Dillon Fire's jurisdiction, and thereby to establish Lake Dillon Fire as the single provider of fire and emergency services within such combined area. A copy of the Resolution Proposing Inclusion may be obtained by phone or email request to (970) 262-5100 or Email Me.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that on June 2, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., the Lake Dillon Fire Board shall hold a special meeting and public hearing ("Inclusion Hearing") to consider adoption of a Resolution Approving Inclusion of Real Property within Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District Upon the Affirmative Majority Vote of the Eligible Electors Within the Area To Be Included ("Resolution Approving Inclusion") to approve the inclusion of the Copper Mountain Properties within Lake Dillon Fire's jurisdiction, and to commence the process of submitting the question of inclusion of the Copper Mountain Properties to the eligible electors within the area to be included.
The Inclusion Hearing shall be held at 0035 County Shops Road, Frisco, CO 80443, unless social distancing measures are then still in effect in Summit County or Lake Dillon Fire due to the public health risk created by the presence COVID-19. In such event, the Inclusion Hearing shall be held electronically, with telephone conference call-in information and public comment procedures made available to the public in advance. Final information regarding the location or manner of meeting will be included on the Lake Dillon Fire Board's meeting notice and agenda, and posted on http://summitfire.org at least 24 hours in advance of the Inclusion Hearing.
All interested persons and any municipality or county that may be able to provide service to the real property within Copper Mountain Metro's jurisdiction shall appear at the Inclusion Hearing and show just cause in writing why the Lake Dillon Fire Board should not finally adopt the Resolution Approving Inclusion. The failure of any person in the existing special district to file a written objection shall be taken as an assent on his or her part to the inclusion of the Copper Mountain Properties into Lake Dillon Fire's jurisdiction. The Lake Dillon Fire Board may continue the Inclusion Hearing to a subsequent meeting.
